Four steps from form to bus pass.

Fill in the registration form below — on screen, or print it and complete it by hand.

Email the completed form to Yellowknife@transdev.com along with a photo of your student. If you are registering more than one student, label each photo with the student’s name so we can match it correctly.

You will receive an email with an invoice and a payment link from First Transit Canada. Complete the payment through that link.

Bus passes are delivered to the respective schools once they are printed.

Yellowknife School Boards enforce the existing distance criteria for riding the school bus.

Subsidized rate for students who meet the distance criteria below.

For students who do not meet the distance criteria and are exempted by their school district.

Yes. Registration for the new school year is open now. Complete the registration form on this page and email it to Yellowknife@transdev.com with a photo of your student. Passes are issued based on route capacity, so apply early.

📧 What do I need to send with my form? +

Email the completed form and a photo of your student to Yellowknife@transdev.com. The photo is used on the printed bus pass. If you are registering more than one student, please specify the name of each student so the photos can be matched to the right pass.

💳 How and when do I pay? +

After we receive your form, you will receive an email with an invoice and a payment link from First Transit Canada. Payment is made through that link — please do not send payment before you receive the invoice.

💲 How much does a bus pass cost? +

A school bus pass is $225 for eligible students and $480 for ineligible students who are exempted by their school district. Eligibility is based on the distance criteria enforced by the Yellowknife School Boards: Kindergarten beyond 0.4 km, Grades 1–3 beyond 1.2 km, Grades 4–6 beyond 1.6 km, and Grades 7–8 beyond 2.0 km from school.

Bus passes are delivered to the respective schools once they are printed. Your student will receive their pass at school — passes are not mailed to home addresses.

Yes, all students must register for a new bus pass for the new school year, even if they had a pass last year. This lets us update routes, assign accurate stops, and accommodate new riders across Yellowknife schools.
